We used recessed lighting to illuminate the artwork of Micky Mouse that was made using diamond dust; the low voltage lamps (bulbs) makes the piece of art shimmer and shine that no other light source would have achieved. Because of the multiple switch legs that we designed for the Bar and Family Room, we used a mini lighting control system (see right of Mickey) that simplifies the control of all the lighting in these two areas to a single button press that is easily programmed on the unit itself. This is a Lutron Grafic Eye 3100 Series device.

Because the Homeowners prefered to not have decorative wall sconces on either side of the mirror at the Master Sink area, (that provides the necessary "fill" light eliminating shadows that the recessed lighting positioned above the sinks create) we used a wall mounted illuminated mirror (on left side) at the Homeowner's height that is used when applying make up or shaving.

We positioned low voltage recessed light fixtures around the permiter of the Master Tub deck to graze the stone walls with lighting that gives a dramatic effect at night. Although it is not easliy seen in this photo, the trims on the fixtures I used are of a frosted glass that sets them apart from the other recessed fixtures in the space, giving them a decorative appeal that blends in with the contemporary lines developed by the bathroom designer.
